Queridos amigos.
Ante todo disculpad que utilice este medio para dirigirme a vosotros pero no he encontrado correo a la vista y de nuevo os molesto y solicitando vuestra ayuda para que publiquéis algún comentario en vuestro blog, porque contra viento y marea he conseguido publicar mi segunda novela del detective existencial y judío madrileño, Doron Benatar. Berlín 10119, que inicialmente está teniendo muy buena acogida, la primera, Doron Benatar y el libro de los nombres muertos, ya va por su cuarta edición y salió el pasado año. Con ella continúo en mi afán de aportar un poco de conocimiento respecto a la cultura hebrea ambientada en una familia judía de padre sefardí y madre ashkenazí en el Madrid de hoy día. Te incluyo una pequeña sinopsis:
Doron Benatar. Berlín 10119.
Doron lleva unos meses en el dique seco por decisión propia tras haber visto como atropellaban y mataban intencionadamente a Natalie, la chica de la que estaba enamorado. Su madre le pide un gran favor, que ayude a una buena amiga, Esther Brecht, para que investigue respecto a la actual situación y titularidad de la casa que su familia abandonó precipitadamente huyendo de Berlín Este la noche antes de que el Muro se levantara. Lo que comienza como un simple caso de especulación inmobiliaria acabará convirtiéndose en un peligroso caso donde un poderoso mafioso reciclado de la antigua nomenclatura comunista de la Alemania Oriental, un rico exiliado ruso opositor a la camarilla que gobierna en Rusia, y el propio servicio secreto ruso FSB (antes KGB) confluirán con él sobre un mismo objetivo: Hacerse con la joya más codiciada de los últimos cien años y que guarda en su interior un secreto largamente buscado.
Como en el anterior libro, se intercala la acción con cuentos de la autora y con los preparativos de boda de su primo David Horowitz. Toda la familia Benatar, así como la familia Horowitz venida de México, se desplazaran en pleno a Melilla para el desposorio ya que la novia, Jacqueline, es una joven judía melillense que desea casarse en su tierra siguiendo las antiguas tradiciones sefarditas de la boda berberisca.
